OppAlerts and AccuRanker Compared

Compare OppAlerts and AccuRanker for keyword tracking and client reporting. Review tracking capacity, AI answer coverage and tools for content and prospect research.

If you are choosing a keyword tracker, consider whether your responsibility ends with reporting positions or also includes research based on those results. AccuRanker is a rank tracking specialist. It charges by keyword count and updates daily. OppAlerts tracks keywords too, but as one input to a campaign that also does prospecting, contact research, coverage monitoring and content scoring.

OppAlerts publishes this comparison. AccuRanker tracks far more keywords for the money, and the arithmetic below shows it.

If conventional rank tracking at volume is the purchase, AccuRanker does that job more deeply than OppAlerts, and the rest of this page does not change that.

What AccuRanker sells

PlanPriceKeywords
Professional$224/mo2,000, 3,000 or 5,000
Expert$764/mo10,000, 15,000, 20,000 or 25,000
EnterpriseQuotedMore than 25,000

Professional includes daily updates, keyword research, search intent, tagging, advanced filtering, Google Search Console and Google Analytics connections, and reporting and export. Expert adds dynamic tagging, Tag Cloud, AI CTR, AI Search Volume, Google Data Studio and an unlimited read API, with unlimited write API above that. Its AI features are named AccuLLM and AI Models, and AccuRanker provides an MCP server.

Users and domains are unlimited on every plan. OppAlerts is also not sold by the seat, so on that point the two products agree and neither has an advantage to claim.

Where the two meters differ

An AccuRanker plan buys a keyword count. Twenty thousand keywords updated daily is a fixed entitlement, and the frequency is part of the product rather than a choice that consumes an allowance.

An OppAlerts plan buys a weekly call allowance, where one call is one tracked prompt or keyword, on one provider, on one day. You tick which days each item needs fresh data, and a Google request returns the organic results, the ads and the AI Overview together.

There is no separate maximum number of stored prompts or keywords beyond what fits inside the weekly call allowance. How many you can hold is decided by how many providers each item goes to and how many days a week it runs.

The arithmetic shows where each product fits. A thousand keywords on Google and Bing, five days a week, is 10,000 calls a week. The same thousand keywords checked twice a week is 4,000. Checking less often does not reduce AccuRanker's price, which depends on keyword count. In OppAlerts, fewer collections leave more allowance for other tracked items.

That also means AccuRanker is the better answer above a certain scale. A program tracking 20,000 keywords daily is a large, steady collection load, and a keyword-count plan prices that more simply than a call allowance.

What OppAlerts adds beyond rank tracking

Nothing on the AccuRanker pricing page describes a backlink index, an opportunity-type prospect search, stored website contact details, a news and blog index, PageRank history, or content scoring against a category taxonomy.

  • AI prompt tracking on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Mode, from the same allowance as keywords, so AI answers and organic positions sit in one reporting set.
  • Prospect Index, searched by meaning as well as keyword and filtered by opportunity type: guest contribution pages, resource lists, expert roundups, podcasts, industry directories, award programs and speaking submissions.
  • Site Info, returning the stored public contact pages, emails, phone numbers and social profiles for a site.
  • Backlinks DB: Link Gap, listing sites with observed links to the competitors you enter and no observed link to you.
  • News Index over indexed news, blog and podcast content, for brand and competitor coverage.
  • PageRank history, monthly link-graph measurements for a host, its www variant and its domain.
  • Content Optimizer compares a draft with up to three categories you select, one per taxonomy, and lists the phrases it does not contain. It reads up to 8,192 bytes at a time.

All of these draw on one campaign definition covering the business, its brands, its competitors and three buyer personas, so the same market context selects results in every report.

Choosing between them

Choose AccuRanker when rank tracking is the product you are buying: many keywords, updated daily, with forecasting, search intent and tagging, and connections into Google Search Console, Analytics and Data Studio. Choose it also if you need write operations or an explicitly unlimited API; OppAlerts programmatic access is read-only.

Choose OppAlerts when keyword positions are an input rather than the deliverable, and the person reading them is also the person who has to find publishers and write to them.

Running both is reasonable at scale: AccuRanker for the keyword program, OppAlerts for everything that follows from it. The overlap is keyword tracking alone.

Compare the required keyword workload first. Then assess whether the additional research fits work you already do before deciding which product belongs in the workflow.

Let’s discuss how we can work together.

An industry report, a custom dataset, a partnership; a couple of sentences is plenty. Every message comes straight to me, and I read all of them.

If it’s a fit, you’ll hear back quickly with next steps or a time to talk.
