OppAlerts and AI Visibility Trackers

Compare OppAlerts with specialist AI visibility trackers. Check AI provider coverage, collection schedules and the content, link and contact research included.

If you choose a tool for AI visibility reporting, you need to compare how it collects answers and how those answers will support your team's work. AI visibility trackers answer one question: when someone asks an assistant about your market, does your brand appear, and which sources does the answer cite? They do it by sending prompts to those assistants on a schedule, storing the answers, and reporting mentions, citations, competitor share and change over time.

OppAlerts publishes this page and sells a product in the category it describes.

That is a real job and a new one, and the category does it well. The question this page answers is how much of your work a tracker covers, and what remains after the report arrives.

What every product in the category does

These products run a defined prompt set against selected engines on a schedule. Reports show brand mentions, citations, competitor comparisons and the sources used in answers.

They differ in engine count, in how they meter collection, in whether seats cost money, and in what they add around the core. Several also generate content, audit your website, or read your server logs. The shortlist and the evidence for it are on AI search visibility tools.

What a tracking report leaves undone

A tracker tells you that a competitor is named in answers where you are not, and that a particular set of publications is being cited. Both are useful. Neither is a task.

Turning that into work means answering questions the tracker does not address. Which of those cited publications accept contributions, and on what terms? Which of them already mention your brand without linking to it? Who do you contact, and is that site worth the effort? What should the next article be about, and does the draft you wrote read as being about it?

Teams usually answer those with separate subscriptions: a prospecting tool, a contact database, a monitoring tool, a content scorer, and a rank tracker for conventional search. The tracker report becomes an input to four other products.

Where OppAlerts replaces part of the category

OppAlerts sends prompts to ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Mode on the days you choose. Reports use the campaign's brands and competitors to show mentions, cited sources and comparisons. It adds Google and Bing keyword tracking from the same allowance, where one Google request returns the organic results, the ads and the AI Overview together.

What it does differently is that the same campaign definition then provides context for the work that follows. The business, its brands, its competitors and three buyer personas are written once. That context selects results in a prospect index searched by meaning across opportunity types, in stored public contact details for those sites, in a news, blog and podcast index, and in link gap analysis. It also supplies context for monthly PageRank history and a content optimizer that compares drafts with selected categories.

So for a team whose tracking report currently feeds four other tools, OppAlerts can replace the tracker and several of the tools around it.

Where a specialist tracker remains necessary

Engine coverage. OppAlerts tracks three providers. Most trackers in the category cover more, and several reach nine. If Perplexity or Claude must appear in your reporting, a specialist is required and no other consideration changes that.

Collection more often than daily. OppAlerts collects at most once a day, on the nights before the days you tick. A launch monitored hourly needs a product built for that frequency.

Your own website and infrastructure. Crawler log analytics, site auditing, serving content to AI agents and AI traffic attribution are available in this category. OppAlerts provides none of them and does not access your site or logs for these tasks.

Content generation. Several trackers write drafts and publish them. OppAlerts scores writing you produced and does not write.

Error detection in answers. At least one enterprise product identifies incorrect statements about a brand in AI responses. OppAlerts reports what an answer named or cited and does not judge whether it is true.

Programmatic access today. Several vendors provide an API, an MCP server or both. The OppAlerts equivalents provide read-only access.

How to decide

Ask what happens to the report after it is produced. If it is read in a meeting and informs a strategy, a specialist tracker with the widest engine list is the right purchase, and the rest of this page is irrelevant. If it is expected to generate work for writers, PR staff and link builders, count the tools currently doing that work and price the whole set rather than the tracker alone.

The category is measurement. Whether measurement is what you are buying is the question worth settling first.

Before choosing a tracker, run a representative set of buyer questions through your evaluation. Check both the reporting and the research you will need after reading it.

Let’s discuss how we can work together.

An industry report, a custom dataset, a partnership; a couple of sentences is plenty. Every message comes straight to me, and I read all of them.

If it’s a fit, you’ll hear back quickly with next steps or a time to talk.
