If you are looking beyond Serpstat, identify the research capability or usage limit that is holding up your team's work. Serpstat starts at $50 a month, which is the lowest full-platform price found in this research. Every alternative below costs more, so the reason for moving is a capability or a meter that does not fit, not a saving.
OppAlerts publishes this page and is one of the alternatives on it. Everything here costs more than Serpstat, including OppAlerts.
The most common reason is the meter itself. Serpstat sells searches for sites, keywords and links per day, at 100, 500, 1,000 and 5,000 across its tiers. Teams outgrow that when they want items tracked on a schedule rather than looked up on demand.
SE Ranking, when you want scheduled tracking instead of daily lookups
SE Ranking is the closest step up in scope and the best value for the money among the tracking platforms. Its $129 a month plan gives 10 projects, one manager seat, 2,000 keywords tracked daily, 100 prompts tracked daily and 250,000 audit pages a month. The $279 plan gives 30 projects, three seats, 5,000 keywords, 250 prompts and 2,000,000 audit pages.
The difference from Serpstat is that a tracked keyword is collected on a schedule without spending a research allowance, so a fixed reporting set costs a predictable amount. Its AI tools are the AI Search Toolkit, AI Overviews Tracker and AI Mode Tracker, with an AI Writer and a separate SE Visible product.
Semrush, when research depth is the reason
Semrush runs $139 to $549 a month with 500 to 5,000 keywords tracked daily and 50 to 200 prompts tracked daily from Starter up. It adds keyword cannibalization analysis, multi-location and device tracking, historical SEO data and SEO share of voice on higher plans. MCP access starts at Starter, alongside 300 AI visibility reports a day for any domain.
It is roughly three times the Serpstat entry price. What that buys is depth of research tooling rather than more lookups.
Ahrefs or Majestic, when link data is the reason
Ahrefs at $129, $249 and $449 a month gives 100,000 to 1,500,000 crawl credits and 6 months to 5 years of history, with API and MCP on every plan. It charges $40 to $80 a month per extra user, and its plans include only 5, 10 and 20 tracked AI prompts before Brand Radar and a prompt package are added.
Majestic sells link data by the row. Plans include 1 million, 20 million and 100 million analyzable backlinks, measured in AnalysisResUnits. Its Fresh Index is separate from its historic index. If backlink volume is the only requirement, it is the most direct purchase in this list.
AccuRanker, when the team is large and the job is ranks
AccuRanker prices on keywords alone at $224 a month for 2,000 to 5,000 and $764 for 10,000 to 25,000, with unlimited users and domains. That last point matters if several people currently share one Serpstat login. It adds AccuLLM, AI CTR, AI Search Volume, MCP and an unlimited read API at the Expert tier.
OppAlerts, when research should end in outreach
OppAlerts is a larger purchase than Serpstat and does less conventional SEO: there is no site audit, and keyword research is not its strength. Its API and MCP server are available for read-only access.
What it adds is a different end to the same research.
A campaign holding the business, its brands, its competitors and three buyer personas provides context for each of these:
- A prospect index searched by meaning across opportunity types including guest contribution pages, resource lists, expert roundups, podcasts, directories and award programs.
- Stored public contact details for those sites.
- A news, blog and podcast index.
- A backlink database with a link gap report.
- Monthly PageRank history.
- A content optimizer comparing a draft with categories you select.
- Tracking of ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Mode alongside Google and Bing.
Serpstat tells you what a domain looks like. OppAlerts is built around deciding which domains to contact and how.
